Linner and I are so excited to share with you that we have recently partnered with Forever21. We always wear their clothes to complement some of the nicer clothes we have, as one of our favorite things to do is mix and match highs and lows.

We are always looking for new companies to form affiliate programs or local retailers to partner with for fun promotions. If you know of anyone that would be interested or have any other ideas for affiliate programs, please comment below! We would love to hear your ideas!!

We can't wait to share with you all the pieces we love from Forever21 this fall! To start, here are a few we've been eyeing.

The (Sort of) Boyfriend Jeans

by Tinner in , ,

With every new season, old trends return and current trends evolve. As we head into Fall, distressed denim seems to be at the forefront of both old and new. I have always been a fan of a simple skinny jean or jegging and have been reluctant to try different shapes and styles with the concern they wouldn't be flattering for my body (i.e. boyfriend jeans). Nevertheless, always fun to try trends that bring you out of your comfort zone a little bite. In an attempt to find boyfriend jeans that I could wear while traveling abroad, I stumbled across these baggy jeans that aren't quite boyfriend but have the same effect. Because they still have some shape, they aren't as unflattering as boyfriend jeans can sometimes be. And though the rips are somewhat aggressive, you can wear them as a fun beach look, chic European look, or even a little more conservative look with a simple, oversized button down (as pictured).

I am usually a huge fan of color and simple gold jewelry, as I like and feel most comfortable in it. This look, however, was one of my favorites from the summer and something completely out of my usual repertoire. The big staple necklace and cuff were really fun and I used the heels to bring it all together. I also really thought that my Warby Parker glasses were a fun addition and constantly try to remind myself that glasses can also be used to accessorize.

As I head into my second week studying abroad in Italy, I made another unconventional purchase; ripped, light wash, overalls. Stay tuned to see how I style them and combine my desire to be ~European chic~ with my personal style!

Summer Shorts: Bandit Denim Cutoffs

by Tinner in

For months now I have been looking for a pair of jean shorts that aren't too tight, not too short and just the right color (clearly I have some serious issues). When I tell you I have looked everywhere, I literally have looked EVERYWHERE. I've tried vintage levi's, other styles by One Teaspoon, and tons of brands from Urban and Revolve. I just can't seem to find the one...

Until I stumbled upon these on Free People. They are the first pair I have found that meet all of my expectations. This light wash, distressed denim is perfect for summer. Throw on a t-shirt, sweater or crop top and you're outfit is good to go.

Black & White

As I've gotten older, I've found that I buy a lot more neutrals and fewer patterns. Although this makes all my clothes look very similar, I prefer having versatility over having to re-wear identifiable patterns over and over again.

That being said, I try to spend money on neutrals that are timeless and good quality. All of the items pictured above are from this summer. The black pants are a recent Club Monaco purchase and I've already lost track of how many times I've worn them. Though other companies (like Zara) make similar pairs, I wanted to get something that would also be nice enough for work. I paired the pants with a $30 Old Navy cotton shirt that is PERFECT for a hot summer day and these new J.Crew animal print slip-on sneakers.

A tip that someone once told me about finding the right pair of lose pants that fits your body best is to look for ones that scrunch at the bottom. Whether they actually scrunch or just get tighter is your preference but something that comes together at the bottom will give your legs more shape. PLUS, if you wear them with heels they elongate your legs even more!

This outfit was incredibly easy to throw together because everything was neutral. I added the shoes to give it an extra pop, as neutral outfits usually look best with a little extra something. Whether thats a necklace, ring, shoes or bag is up to you.

They no longer sell this white top but this quilted Old Navy top is a perfect transition piece for the fall and only $25!

Sliding Through The Sheets

As the end of the summer approaches, it's always fun to start thinking about how you're going to decorate your new dorm room, apartment or home. To us, the best part is finding the right sheets. From there, its just a matter of finding the perfect things to go with it. i.e. pillows, duvet covers, lamps and dressers. Stay tuned the rest of the summer as we explore other room essentials!

Below are a few of our favorite sheets. Click on the links to see where we get them from!
