Now Trending: Blush + Off the Shoulder

The more blogs and websites we come across, the more we see blush everywhere. I hesitate to call blush "pink" though, because I think it turns a lot of people off (including myself). But recently, it seems like its being worn by everyone under the sun - anyone from chic to preppy.

What I like about blush is that it is very soft, elegant (no matter how you dress it), and easy to wear in the spring/summer, as you can pair it with any white bottom. The color looks amazing with all skin tones, but especially if you have a little summer glow!!

This ASOS off the shoulder, blush top is definitely already one of my favorite summer pieces and is something that I am going to wear often in the coming weeks. In addition to the elegance of the color, the off the shoulder style allows you to effortlessly dress up the outfit.

We were recently introduced by a family friend to a new company called Beauty Kind, an online retailer that allows you to buy the products you love while giving 5% back to a charity of your choice. They offer everything from cosmetics, to hair care, skin care, fragrance, candles, nail polish you name it. Once you pick which items you want to purchase you go through the long list of charities that the company has partnered with and select the one that you want your purchases to support.

Our town was really impacted by the death of Yeardley Love, a UVA lacrosse player who was killed weeks before graduation at the hands of her on and off again boyfriend. Her cousin is both a mother and lacrosse coach in our community so the entire town has come together to support the One Love Foundation. BK also recently partnered with the foundation, named after Yeardley, in hopes of raising greater awareness and more money to end relationship violence.

It takes years to find the best makeup for your skin.. Mascara, the right foundation, a light primer, the best lip, and everything in between. After trying different things and always switching between brands, I've finally found a few things that I will never look back on...

Below are a few of my favorite, everyday go-to's.

Mascara: Almay One Coat Get Up & Grow Mascara  ($) (I SWEAR by this -- my mom and my sisters all use it now too. Gucci Westman (a famous, celeb makeup artist) once told me about it and it is one thousand times better than any designer mascara)

Foundation: Makeup Forever HD Invisible Cover Foundation  ($42) (For those with oily skin, this is the best foundation I have ever tried)

Blush: Nars 'Orgasm' Blush  ($30)

Lip: Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Color ($27) (I hate lipgloss but this Laura Mercier product feels more like a chapstick with color!)
