25 Days of Christmas : Day 13!

It's no secret that fur's on our mind this holiday season, both at the top of our wish list and gift list for others. Fur vests are the perfect addition to any fall or winter outfit, as they are super easy to throw on and incredibly versatile. I was lucky enough to get this Calypso vest HALF OFF last Christmas and wear it any excuse I can get!

However, as much as I love this, I'm constantly looking for one that is more reasonably priced, and not just to be worn on special occasions. There is a wide variety and range of vests out there now, priced as low as $20 and with a number of different styles and colors. This holiday season, start at sites like Forever21 when looking for a fur vest for your sis, mom, or friends and then move to the major brand names, most of which have inexpensive options as well. Be aware of the material of the fur, as inexpensive pieces can often look it. Go for a more shaggy look with some of the cheaper ones to avoid this problem. BUT, indulge in a nice one you love because it is a classic investment!

Sunny Daze

One of the many reasons going to school in Virginia is so nice is the fact that we can sport our favorite sunny gs  all year long. These Le Spec sunglasses, purchased at the Neely Burch sale, are the kind of glasses that make a statement. They need to be worn with simple pieces so the outfit does not become overwhelming. Emma did just that, pairing them with a simple pair of Rag&Bone jeans and Splendid t-shirt, and adding this fun, bright Roberta Freymann beads and Old Navy scarf to pull it all together.

My favorite part of this outfit, however, is the green hooded jacket. As it gets a little bit colder down South, a light jacket is the perfect accessory to pull an outfit together but also to stay warm. This jacket is practical, as it's not too heavy and enough to stay warm during this in between weather. Finally Stumbling into Fall Weather

This past weekend was parent's weekend at W&L, one of our favorite weekends of the year. Each year our parents, reliving their college days, host a tailgate before the big football game. They consume more mimosas and bloody marys than should be allowed for adults… and actually put us to shame. Despite the entertainment of our crazy parents, part of why this weekend is so fun is getting to finally wear some of our favorite fall pieces. 

Last year at this time, Virginia was still warm enough to be wearing white dresses and skirts. This year, however, it was a rainy and chilly here in Lexington. So for the first time, since we've been back, we could finally debut our favorite sweaters, scarves, boots, and jackets. It's pretty obvious that my five best friends and I have a very distinct fall style (links can be seen below) but we're  eager to know YOUR favorite fall pieces. Last Minute LEATHER!

We might as well make the best of this annoyingly long, cold winter by wearing our best, warm pieces. Leather is most definitely our favorite part of winter clothing and therefore should be worn as long as possible! Whenever we see our friends wearing outfits that we love we try to snap a few picts -- We're obsessed with this outfit mostly because of the leather jacket but also because of the way she paired it with jeans and booties. Our first 'Scene on Campus'- Bucknell University

This week we wanted to introduce our first 'Scene on Campus,' an idea we had to incorporate different styles seen on college campus' all over the country. Here at Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, PA, the cold weather doesn't stop these girls from putting together chic ensembles that are cute but casual enough to wear to class everyday. Black & White

It's important to remember that some of the best outfits always have a little color. Although black and white has been in this winter, pair any ensemble with a bright statement necklace or a cute pair of earrings to give it that extra POP!
