The Best Jackets For Your Wardrobe

You can never have too much black in your wardrobe and you especially can never have enough blazers or jackets. We are always looking for staple pieces to put in our closets that can be both dressed up for a night out or dressed down for a day of errands or class. I was looking over the amazing, new Spring/Summer collection for Zara (of course!) and came across these two jackets that would look good on just about anyone. 

The first is a structured, wool jacket that would look awesome with a pair of booties, black jeans and a gray tank -- maybe even with a cool statement necklace. Pictured: Left.

The second is a mixed fabric jacket that looks more like a blazer. The leather on the sleeves gives this simple jacket that extra touch and is easy to throw on over either a t-shirt or a blouse. Pictured: Right

We back!

Tinner has taken a short hiatus the last few weeks but we're back and can't wait to have another great year! After having reached our goal for 2014, we are excited/eager to start 2015 with a great list of new ideas and goals!

We figured now that people are back at school from Winter break there are typically a number of exciting socials and events to get new outfits for! A little guidance from Tinner is the perfect solution for those that don't have enough time to look! While we never fail to find a good formal dress on Revolve or Shopbop, such sites are not always economically practical. Thus, we are huge fans of renting amazing, designer dresses for affordable prices from Rent the Runway. Rent the Runway sends you two sizes, of whatever dress you choose, with a  prepaid package to easily return the dress when you're done. We recommend going to Rent the Runway first before splurging on an expensive dress, as it is a simple and easy solution to cutting back on spending.

25 Days of Christmas : Day 13!

It's no secret that fur's on our mind this holiday season, both at the top of our wish list and gift list for others. Fur vests are the perfect addition to any fall or winter outfit, as they are super easy to throw on and incredibly versatile. I was lucky enough to get this Calypso vest HALF OFF last Christmas and wear it any excuse I can get!

However, as much as I love this, I'm constantly looking for one that is more reasonably priced, and not just to be worn on special occasions. There is a wide variety and range of vests out there now, priced as low as $20 and with a number of different styles and colors. This holiday season, start at sites like Forever21 when looking for a fur vest for your sis, mom, or friends and then move to the major brand names, most of which have inexpensive options as well. Be aware of the material of the fur, as inexpensive pieces can often look it. Go for a more shaggy look with some of the cheaper ones to avoid this problem. BUT, indulge in a nice one you love because it is a classic investment!

Winter Style on Point

Hats off to my friend Emma for a Thanksgiving ensemble that is simply a ten! I received a snap chat from Emma on Thanksgiving day and instantly knew this hat (though Emma thought she was "doing too much") was the perfect Fall/Winter accessory. Hats are often neglected in our daily routines, especially at our age. But during the holiday season, there is no better item to pull together an outfit and create a very effortless look.

In addition to the hat, this affordable (and adorable!) fur vest and these beige flats make up the perfect outfit for a holiday brunch or party. Try doubling a long necklace, such as this ASHA one, to create this 'choker' look - one of today's hottest trends. Pair it with minimal jewelry like pearls, this watch from Neely by VNB (who recently launched their website), or a navy and gold cuff to keep the outfit simple.

Cheetah Trend

Over time, cheetah print has developed into a fashion trend that is no longer perceived as tacky or cheap but as chic and high-fashion. Companies all over the world are taking the Cheetah trend to a new level with pieces such as these espadrille flats, bags, jewelry and jackets. The key to tastefully wearing cheetah is pairing them with pieces that are simple and neutral. Too much cheetah can be overwhelming so when trying to find the right thing to wear it with, really take the time to think about how the outfit will come together.
