Seeing Stripes

Every store we walk into at the moment, is filled with racks upon racks of white and blue striped pieces -- with many, eye-catching variations. For Memorial Day Weekend, Lindsay showed her festivity by pairing this striped J.Crew Factory top ($30!), with AG white jeans, Steve Madden wedges, and of course, the most classic RayBan Aviators. 

Tops like these are perfect (and super easy) to throw on for the summer and go well with any white or denim bottom. Below are a few striped tops that we are also watching!!

Summer Reds

It's not everyday that you'll see me in a bright, busy patterned dress. I am usually pretty hesitant about buying things that are not incredibly versatile as I find that it makes my closet feel small/limited. However, when Lindsay's sister let me borrow this new dress of hers to shoot, I realized I need to be more open to some of my purchases.

This, for example, is a dress I probably would have never picked out on my own (if we're being honest). It's like growing up when your mom would tell you to try something you didn't like on the hanger and ended up loving it once you have it on in the dressing room. I'm so glad Hollin encouraged me to wear this for a quick shoot because I honestly think it's one of my favorites from this summer.

In hindsight it would have been better for me to wear it with flats, as the wedges made it a little short on me but in general I usually have to buy tall dresses  because of my height. So don't let the shortness of this fool you -- it is a normal length. Not to mention really pretty, soft (silk), and super easy to just throw on.

In honor of the USA's hot streak in the world cup, despite their tough loss today, we wanted to share a little American pride with some red white and blue. Summer's a great time to rock your colored jeans and this top from Forever21 is a perfect example of a simple shirt to go with them. To add a little extra to a look like this, add a fun necklace, a cropped jacket, or simple wedges. The look is easy and is great for a number of different events this summer, especially the ~Fourth of July~!! Here we go USA!

Summer is the time to wear bright colors and be bold. There's no other season where you can pair a green dress with neon pink wedges. Embrace the style, flaunt the color, and wear it with confidence just as Lindsay did with this really cool and affordable outfit.

More City Looks

Whether we're in New York City or just wanting to look chic while going shopping, having lunch with friends, or doing errands, we're always trying to find the perfect outfits that are easy, simple and affordable! These Nanette Lepore shorts (pictured here) are perfect because they can be easily matched with an array of simple tops, jackets, or sweaters and will add a pop of color to any combination. We chose to put together this stylish but affordable bomber jacket from Free People with these shorts to add a little something edgy to an otherwise simple outfit. Adding wedges (like these ones from Zara) to a pair of flowy shorts also makes your legs appear longer and more lean.

Warm Weather- Hot City Looks!

FINALLY the weather's warm and we can rock some of our favorite sunny day outfits and accessories!! This combination was the perfect daytime look for shopping and lunch in the city and was effortlessly transformed to night when replaced with a romper. It had eyes all widening and jaws dropping as our friend walked through the streets of NYC. The best part about this look was that each item was reasonably priced from companies like Zara, Free People, J.Crew, Steve Madden and Urban Outfitters. It really shows that it doesn't take a lot money to look chic and stylish for an adventure in the city! Stay tuned (this week) for more city looks and some of our favorite Spring time ensembles. Now is the best weather for creating easy outfits perfect for any occasion!

Beach Hair, Don't Care!

As Spring Break approaches and everyones is hassling to find last minute items to show off when they get somewhere warm, we wanted to share some of our favorite looks with you! This pink bathing suit from Forever21 is one of many of their stylish and incredibly affordable suits in their swimwear collection. The pareo seen here is actually a scarf from Roberta Roller Rabbit but looks great wrapped around your waste with a suit. The Rayban Erika sunglasses and Roberta coverup are both items we have published but they are really must-haves.
