Supergs on Ma Feet

by Tinner in , ,

Supergas have been our fall 'go-to'. They're easy to throw on with a pair of skinny jeans and an oversized sweater or cute with a dress and cargo jacket. We've featured them a lot on Tinner as they tend to go with just about everything in our closets and are perfect for anything on-the-go.

To transition them into the winter, consider buying a darker pair that will compliment a more wintery outfit. Their newest collection features a variety of colors (both shoes and laces), prints and styles, all at an affordable price ($65). In addition to the more basic pairs, we've been eyeing some of the animal print ones - might be the perfect holiday gift!

TIP: Try cuffing the pants (once) to add length to your legs and emphasize the shoes.

Sunny Daze

by Tinner in , , ,

One of the many reasons going to school in Virginia is so nice is the fact that we can sport our favorite sunny gs  all year long. These Le Spec sunglasses, purchased at the Neely Burch sale, are the kind of glasses that make a statement. They need to be worn with simple pieces so the outfit does not become overwhelming. Emma did just that, pairing them with a simple pair of Rag&Bone jeans and Splendid t-shirt, and adding this fun, bright Roberta Freymann beads and Old Navy scarf to pull it all together.

My favorite part of this outfit, however, is the green hooded jacket. As it gets a little bit colder down South, a light jacket is the perfect accessory to pull an outfit together but also to stay warm. This jacket is practical, as it's not too heavy and enough to stay warm during this in between weather. Army green jackets are trending right now so check out Shopbop and Revolve to find the one that's perfect for you and your school weather!

Finally Stumbling into Fall Weather

by Tinner in ,

This past weekend was parent's weekend at W&L, one of our favorite weekends of the year. Each year our parents, reliving their college days, host a tailgate before the big football game. They consume more mimosas and bloody marys than should be allowed for adults… and actually put us to shame. Despite the entertainment of our crazy parents, part of why this weekend is so fun is getting to finally wear some of our favorite fall pieces.

Last year at this time, Virginia was still warm enough to be wearing white dresses and skirts. This year, however, it was a rainy and chilly here in Lexington. So for the first time, since we've been back, we could finally debut our favorite sweaters, scarves, boots, and jackets. It's pretty obvious that my five best friends and I have a very distinct fall style (links can be seen below) but we're  eager to know YOUR favorite fall pieces. So sit back with your pumpkin spice latte, fuzzy socks, and computer and comment below to share your go-to fall items with us.

Simple Essentials

by Tinner in , ,

Buying work clothes and clothes to go out in are often times very different and not appropriate for the other. Thus, expanding your wardrobe can be difficult as its hard to pick and chose between buying more for one. The outfit, pictured above, can be mixed and matched with other pieces to fit both because it uses items that are simple and understated.

A structured black skirt is a staple that you should have in your closet. It can be worn in all seasons (with tights in the winter) and dressed both up and down.

This Zara crop top was initially bought as a going out shirt. Though paired with this skirt, it becomes effortlessly appropriate for work (if you are working for a more low key company - such as advertising or fashion). Wear the top with a tighter skirt when going out at night and capitalize on its versatility.

These Tory Burch 'Reggie Sandals' are a very easy and comfortable shoe. The thick heel dresses the outfit up while keeping it more casual than pumps. They were our favorite work shoes this summer!

Item of the Week-'Parker' Skirt

by Tinner in

Since I've been back at school and sharing all of my sorority sister's closets, I have discovered a number of pieces that I NEED to have for school this fall. My favorite item thus far comes from my friend Dashiell's closet that is always stocked with the latest and chicest clothing that I never fail to take advantage of...This Parker skirt is a favorite of both of ours and amongst my friends, we have at least five of them in this style in different patterns and colors. It is so flattering and looks good paired with a sweater as a conservative outfit for class or something more fun like a crop top and cowboy boots when going out. Visit the Parker website and Parker on Shopbop and Revolve (our faves obviously.) Hope everyone's excited to be back at school! I know we are…

Transition to Fall

by Tinner in , ,

As we move into Fall, take advantage of some of the end-of-the-summer sales. These Clover Canyon pants are currently at a huge discount - as well as most of CC's collection (bathing suits, dresses, crop tops and skirts). Pair them with an oversized sweater and black heels or sneakers, depending on the look you're going for.

These silky pants have been a must-have item this year and will continue to be through the fall. They're incredibly easy to wear and not to mention extremely comfortable!

Staying Ahead of the Trend : The Blanket Cape

by Tinner in

I recently stopped by Zara to browse by the new F/W line. Though such trips to Zara have become way too casual recently, they always seem to amaze me. Besides wanting everything that lined neutral and soft patterned filled walls, I spotted something that seems to be next seasons go to piece. All over Net-A-Porter and WWD, the Blanket Cape is the item to have this Fall and Winter.

I pulled a few to show a variety and represent a broad price range. Let us know what you think by commenting below or sending us an email at tinneroutfitcreations.com || Keep subscribing (at the top).
